Terms
Last updated 29 August 2026.
To complete before launch: the legal entity, its registered address, and the governing law and jurisdiction for disputes. Those are the only gaps — the commercial terms below match what the software and the checkout actually do.
What you are buying
A subscription to Designer Shortcuts, a set of production tools that run inside Adobe Illustrator on Windows. A subscription is $42 a month or $399 a year and covers every tool in the suite, including tools released during your subscription.
The trial
New subscriptions begin with a 14-day free trial with every tool included. The trial becomes a paid subscription at the end of the fourteen days unless you cancel before then. You can cancel at any point during the trial from your account page and you will not be charged.
Your licence
- The subscription is for one person and runs on one active machine at a time. Signing in on a second machine signs the first one out. You may move between machines as often as you like.
- You may use it for commercial work, including client work, with no additional licence and no royalty on what you produce.
- You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense or publish the software itself, or attempt to defeat the licence check.
- Everything you create with it is yours. We claim no rights over your artwork or your documents.
Refunds
Our money-back guarantee forms part of these terms. It sets out the window for a refund on a first payment and how to ask for one. The window is stated on that page rather than repeated here, so that there is only ever one version of it.
When a subscription ends
The tools stop working when the subscription ends. Your files do not change: numbers, codes, guides and artboards produced by the tools are ordinary Illustrator objects and stay in the document whether or not you are a subscriber.
What we promise, and what we do not
We will keep the software working with supported versions of Illustrator and fix defects we can reproduce. We do not promise that the software is free of all faults, that it will suit a particular job, or that it will be available without interruption.
Check your output before it goes to press. The tools are exact and they are still tools. Prepress remains your responsibility, and we cannot accept liability for reprints, missed deadlines or production costs. Where liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes
If these terms change materially we will email account holders before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the software after that date means the new terms apply.
